Pas TGS 2011 kemaren, Bandai Namco mengumumkan sebuah sekuel dari seri God Eater, yaitu God Eater 2, banyak fitur baru di sekuel god eater burst ini,

Plot
The game takes place 3 years after the original. A new pandemic caused by "Red Rain" has struck the Far East Branch. Members of Special Forces "Blood", an affiliate of Fenrir who reside in a mobile base, are sent to investigate. It is implied that other places out of Far East Branch will be visited.

God Eater 2 Prologue, The 2nd Break

Untuk menghilangkan plot hole antara event yang terjadi antara GE burst sampai GE 2, maka Namco pun membuat sebuah manga prologue dari game ini, yang berjudul The 2nd Break, Manga ini berisi karakter di GE Burst, sejauh ini cuma baru ada Alisa, Soma, ama Kota, yang main GE Burst pasti kenal, BTW nih beberapa gambar manga yang bakal rilis tanggal 27 desember tahun ini

Sedangkan untuk returning karakter dari GE burst, yang ane dapet dari GE wiki, cuma baru Alisa, itupun kemungkinan cuma sebagai recruitable NPC, masih belum jelas apakah masuk storyline atau nggak, begitu juga Soma, Kota, Dll

A member of special forces "Blood". She has a calm demeanour, but can hold a gun in times of crisis. She cares deeply for Julius Visconti and acts as his bodyguard.

See God Eater 2′s New Visual Style

Last night’s Famitsu magazine leaks reported that God Eater 2 on PSP would feature a brand new visual style reminiscent of Final Fantasy Type-0. Those leaks weren’t really off the mark. Famitsu.com have the first screenshots of the game:

God Eater 2′s Two New Transforming Weapons

Set three years after the events of Gods Eater Burst, the world in God Eater 2 is still populated by Aragami. Things have taken a turn for the worse because a Red Rain poured on the land and spread sickness to the survivors in Fenrir’s Far East Branch. A new group called Blood is sent in to investigate.

Blood’s headquarters is a moving fortress called Freyja.



God Eater 2 introduces two new transforming weapons. The Burst Hammer is a giant weapon designed to strike an enemy multiple times.

 

The Charge Spear specializes in linear piercing attacks. Once you lock on to an enemy’s weak spot you can poke it death.

Developer Shift created new Aragami for God Eater 2, meet Marduk.

And players will visit new locales like the Icy Blue Ravine shown below.

   

God Eater 2 is slated for release on PSP next year in Japan.
